Privacy Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
The short version: we collect only what we need to fill your requests and run the Dillo Crew calendar. We never sell your information or use it for ads. Want it deleted? Email Reedy@dillogarage.com.
This policy covers dillogarage.com, including the Dillo Crew members’ pages, Dillo Dash and The Fender Flyer. The site is run by Dillo Garage / Dillo Enterprises in the Texas Hill Country (“we”, “us”).
What we collect
When you send a request (gear, prints, services or any other form on the home page): your name, email, phone if you give it, what you’re asking about, your notes, and a shipping address if you want something shipped. Dillo Lady applications also ask for your hometown, Instagram handle and your answers to the application questions (like travel and whether you swim). Only Dillo Man reads them, and we use them only to pick and contact applicants.
If you’re in the Dillo Crew (invite-only):
- Your real name, your nickname, email, and mobile number if you or an admin adds it. Other Crew members see your nickname (or first name and last initial); only you and the crew admins see your full real name.
- Your password, stored only as a scrambled hash that we can’t read. If you use Face ID or a passkey, we store a public key, never your face or fingerprint.
- If you sign in with Google: your name and email from Google. We don’t get your Google password or anything else in your Google account.
- What you choose to tell us: interests, whether kids sometimes come along, boats you captain, and notes on your profile.
- What you do in the Crew: RSVPs, plans you suggest, photos you upload, Dillo Dash scores, and whether you want Fender Flyer emails and whether admins may text you about plans.
- Admin notes: crew admins can add matching tags and private notes to help plan who to invite. Keeping them friendly is part of the deal.
Every visitor: basic, anonymous visit stats from Cloudflare Web Analytics (pages viewed, rough location by country, device type). It doesn’t use cookies or track you across other sites.
How we use it
- To answer your request, give you a total, and ship or hand off your order.
- To run the Crew: show plans, keep track of who’s in, send plan updates to your calendar, and email you things like password resets and new Fender Flyer issues.
- To suggest plans and who might enjoy them (see “The AI planner” below).
- To keep the site secure, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts.
We don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
The AI planner
Once a month, an AI assistant (Anthropic’s Claude) helps us find plan ideas. It sees each group’s description, overall turnout, the calendar and the lake forecast, and it searches the web for events. When it helps suggest who to invite, it sees only anonymous labels (like “P1”) with interest tags. It never gets your name, email, phone number, invite links or admins’ private notes. A person reviews every suggestion before anyone sees it.
Dillo Iron and the Dillo Arcade
- Dillo Iron (the lifting tracker, for Crew members an admin switches on): your program, the weights, sets and reps you log, cardio, and any workout notes you write. Other Iron members see your nickname on The Hardshell Board with counts like lifts and streaks (you can opt out in Iron). When an admin runs the AI coach, it gets your training numbers and your recent workout notes with no name or contact details, and a person decides what to apply. Iron isn’t medical advice.
- Dillo Arcade: anyone can play without an account; scores and progress stay on your device. If you’re signed in to the Crew, your scores go on the Crew Boards under your nickname and your game progress and Taco Tokens are saved to your account so they follow you to other devices.
- Removing your Crew account deletes your Iron and Arcade data too.
What other people can see
- Crew members can see your name on plans you’ve RSVP’d to, plans you suggest, and the Dillo Dash Crew Board.
- Crew admins can see your profile, contact details and RSVP history so they can run the calendar.
- Everyone: “Show me your Dillo” photos are shown on the public home page once an admin approves them. Don’t upload anything you wouldn’t want public.
- Socials: only photos you mark “OK to feature on Dillo Garage socials” may be posted on our Instagram, YouTube or in The Fender Flyer, with credit (and your Instagram tag if you gave it). Ask us anytime to take one down.
Who helps us run the site
These services handle data for us, only to provide their service:
- Netlify: hosts the site and stores Crew data and form submissions.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Cloudflare: domain and anonymous visit stats.
- Google: “Continue with Google” sign-in, and the site’s fonts (your browser asks Google’s servers for them).
- Anthropic: the AI planner, with anonymous data only, as described above.
- Open-Meteo: the lake weather forecast. It gets no personal information.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
We use a cookie only to keep you signed in to the Crew. Your browser also remembers small things like your Dillo Dash best score and sound setting. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Texts and emails
Crew invites and plan texts are sent by a real person, not an automated system. Admins only text you about plans if you tick "OK for crew admins to text me about plans" on your Me page, and you can untick it anytime. Every Fender Flyer email has a one-tap unsubscribe link, and there’s a switch on your Me page.
How long we keep it
We keep request messages as long as we need them to finish your order and handle any follow-up. We keep Crew information while you’re a member. When you’re removed or ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and contact details. Plan history may keep a record that you went, without your contact details. Backups roll over and are replaced over time.
Your choices
- See or change most of your Crew details on your Me page.
- Ask us for a copy of what we have, a correction, or deletion: email Reedy@dillogarage.com and we’ll take care of it.
Kids
The site and the Crew are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. The “kids sometimes come along” option is just a yes or no about families, not information about the kids.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed, sign-in attempts are rate-limited, and admin tools are protected by their own sign-in. No site is perfectly secure, so use a password you don’t use anywhere else, or Face ID.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For a big change, we’ll let Crew members know.
